Syrah Reserve 2007

Once again our estate's South Face block fruit stood out for its level of fruit extract, concentration, lush texture and substantial length. This complex Syrah features aromas of black fruit, caramel, garrigue, cocoa, and bold spice along side hints of oak and earth. Blackberries and meaty game round out the palate while the finish is full with dense fruit and elegant, expansive tannins. Improvement will progress over the next eight to ten years in the cellar. Abacela, "a vineyard and winery under the Oregon sun", was founded on the principle that grape cultivation requires an optimal climate-varietal-site match like the one that produced this Syrah.
