Malbec 2014 Reserve

Malbec 2014 Reserve

Winemaker Notes

Uber ripe, blackberry jam, cassis, briary notes make you forget to even take a sip. Once you do, the flavors explode. The dense fruit, rich and viscous body enliven the palate. Forest floor and sun ripened blackberries with hints of mulberry round out this amazing wine. True to Malbec the color is inky dark, reveling in the shadows this wine comes alive with air.

This sappy, sensational effort is bursting with an ultraripe flavor of crushed blueberry. Dusty tannins and a sprinkling of coffee grounds amplify the finish, with excellent texture and length, ending on a flourish of butterfat. Editors’ Choice. —P.G.
