This release continues the tradition of quality and excellence expected from our Estate Syrah terroirs. This wine was crafted for structure and ageability by careful selection of the finest barrels.
In 2012, our south facing hillside Syrah vines ripened perfectly, producing fruit with expressive earthy aromas, candied cherries, blackberries and peppercorn. The balanced palate overlies a rich and structured frame with smoked meats and integrated tannins progressing through the finish.
This wine will evolve in your cellar for eight to ten years. Pairings include pistachio crusted rack of lamb with wild mushroom risotto.

"This terrific wine is classically varietal, with beautifully defined flavors of cured meats, tobacco, coffee, lavender and peppercorn, all in service to ripe purple fruits. Impeccably balanced, it conveys finesse."
Statesman Journal Oregon wines for Christmas dinner by Victor Panichkul
"An aroma of sweet dried cherries laced with mushrooms and earth give way to deep flavors of rascherries and a hint of freshly ground pepper. Good acidity and silky tannins make this pair well with hearty rich foods like a rich beef stew, roast and even game such as lamb."
