This release continues the tradition of quality and excellence expected from our Estate Syrah terroirs. This wine was crafted for structure and ageability by careful selection of the finest barrels from our best lots.
In the 2011 vintage our hillside Syrah vines ripened perfectly producing fruit with expressive earthy aromas of black cherries, blackberries, peppercorn and hazelnut. The balanced palate overlies a rich and structured frame, integrating both smoked meats and brawny tannins that progress through the finish.
This wine will evolve in your cellar for eight to ten years. Pairings include grilled venison medallions with truffle shavings.
