Winemaker Notes

*Library Selection*

This medium bodied wine was assembled from our best barrels of Merlot. For the 2011 vintage we utilized 76% Merlot and blended in 24% Malbec to enhance the fruit and mid-palate. There are aromas of ripe plum, black currant, raisins and dried herbs that revolve around flavors of cherry, truffle, sweet oak spice and cocoa powder. This wine will improve over the next five years. Pair with a non-traditional dish like roasted guineafowl with beets and polenta.
