As excitement for our port program has grown so has the acreage for Portuguese varieties. Tinta Amarela has stood out year after year for its intriguing flavor profile and high degree of ripeness.
The new block that came on line in 2010 provided us with our first opportunity to produce a dry red table wine from this variety. While fine in texture and tannins, the structure is supported by perfumed aromas of blackberries and tea leaf which leads into a complex finish.
