The well drained soils of our hottest terroir, South Face block, produce fruit of uncompromising quality noted for its extract, concentration, lush texture and substantial length. This complex Syrah features aromas of black fruit, caramel, garrigue, cocoa, and pepper, alongside hints of oak and earth. Blackberries and meaty game round out the palate while the finish is layered with dense fruit and elegant, expansive tannins. This wine will continue to improve with proper storage for the next eight to twelve years.
