Malbec 2007 Magnum

Malbec 2007 Magnum

Winemaker Notes

Our estate vineyards provide Malbec fruit of uncommon depth and complexity. Meticulous attention in the vineyard, gentle handling during fermentation, combined with aging in French oak all contribute to making this a wine of distinction. Purple fruits mingle with earthy components creating a wine of balance that will entice your senses. This Malbec will improve over the next three to five years. Pair with roasted quail stuffed with pancetta and creamy polenta.

Awards, Ratings, Reviews

Outstanding, "...Earl Jones was one of the first in the Northwest to bottle Malbec on its own. This ranks among the best - and least expensive. There's still some adolescent to its nose with plums, cassis, blackberry, cherry cola, vanilla and fresh fig. Dark fruit plies its way to the smooth and balanced palate, joined by Montmorency cherry acidity and some crushed leaf. Chocolaty tannins give it length." Wine Press Northwest

"Its exotic scents immediately fascinate, weaving together incense, smoke, wild berry, baking spices and plum jam. The wine retains a delicacy and lightness, and showcases the fruit rather than barrels." - Paul Gregutt, The Spokesman-Review (May 2010) Full article
