Syrah 2001 5 Liter

Rhone-style nose of earth, licorice, tar and gaminess precede a richly textured body. Super ripe fruit and a jammy quality lead to undertones of chocolate and spice on the finish. The tannins are well integrated and balanced. We feel this wine will offer prime accompaniment to dishes like Mediterranean lamb kabobs with aromatic jasmine rice. Hold for further aging, seven to ten years. This unfined and unfiltered wine will form sediment over time, decanting is recommended.
