Angelica 2022
In Stock
Oregon became a state in 1859, and the vines that produced this wine were planted around the same time. Found in a blackberry patch at Abacela, the vines were recovered and identified as Listan Prieto, aka the Mission grape. Originally from Spain, the vines likely came to Abacela from California during the 1850’s. Little did we, the pioneer of Tempranillo wine in America, know that the Spanish grape was already being grown on our property. We have fostered the return of the variety, producing a traditional Angelica wine we think you will enjoy.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Wonderful aroma with floral notes and a touch of herbs and red fruits. On the palate, pleasant red fruits, well-integrated acidity, and smooth, almost non-existent tannins. Alcohol is very balanced and almost unnoticeable. This dessert wine is delicious and exciting.
