Winemaker's Tasting Notes
2004 we were again successful in crafting a subtle, quite fruit forward style Syrah. This wine exhibits our characteristic black and blue fruit aromas and flavors with the requisite medium-bodied balance of acidity and tannin structure to make it enjoyable now without the need for additional bottle age. If desired, however, it will cellar well in the near term for three to four years.
This smoothly textured and friendly wine is particularly well suited to mildly spiced foods like achiote rubbed grilled flank steak with roasted new potatoes.
