Winemaker Tasting Notes

Our 2005 Syrah Umpqua Cuvée includes fruit from our estate Fault Line Vineyards as well as Steelhead Run Vineyard. The finished blend features vivid blue and black fruit aromas accompanied by hints of smoke, pepper, and red licorice. The palate is completely fruit driven with nicely balanced acidity and a soft, approachable tannin structure.

This wine is ready for enjoyment upon release with pairings like a savory Napoleon of mild chorizo, avocado, and vine-ripened tomato with buffalo mozzarella aioli.
