Winemaker's Tasting Notes
Optimally ripe fruit characterizes the 2004 vintage Syrah in which we sourced our estate’s Fault Line Vineyards plus Steelhead Run Vineyard.
Aging in predominately neutral small French oak casks preserved the black and blue fruit, truffle, and pepper spice aromatics.
The generous palate is filled with blackberry jam, licorice, roasted nuts, and game hints.
This wine’s well integrated tannin and balanced finish provide for pleasurable consumption now but should improve over the next 4 to 6 years.
Pair with hearty fare like balsamic-brown sugar glazed pork loin with rosemary and garlic.
