Winemaker's Tasting Notes
This is our second vintage of Claret. We specifically blend this wine from our best lots of traditional red Bordeaux varieties with the goal of producing a singular expression of Southern Oregon.
This majestic wine features intense aromatics of black currant, cassis, and licorice with hints of toast and flower blossoms. The palate displays crushed raspberry and blackberry fruit, flint-laced minerals, and subtle oak on the focused, polished finish.
This well balanced and concentrated wine can be enjoyed young if properly aerated and will reward the patient if aged for five to seven years. Pair this with bold dishes like smoked provolone, sage, and bacon-stuffed KC strip.
