Winemaker's Tasting Notes
The fruit sources for the 2006 Cabernet franc are our estate Fault Line Vineyards in the Umpqua and Pheasant Hill Vineyard in the Rogue.
Our estate contributes to the violet perfumed aromatics and deep streak of minerality and graphite. Pheasant Hill augments its supremely ripe black and red currant fruit with licorice, cassis and sweet vanilla tones.
This is certainly a wine that will benefit from cellaring for the next three to five years. An adventurous food pairing may involve bacon wrapped partridge with fennel and mach choux.
