Earth Day & 100 Mile Meal

In honor of Earth Day 2014, we are hosting our inaugural Farm-to-Fork Dinner. This family-style meal has an added concept: what if we were to focus not only on the quality of
our food, but also the distance it had to travel in order to reach our table? The entire four course meal, from greens to proteins, will be sourced from local farms within 100 miles of our low impact and Salmon-Safe winery. We have carefully chosen producers that will be featured based on their shared commitments to sustainability, certified naturally grown food, and the humane treatment of their free-range and grass-fed animals. To top it off, each course will be paired with an estate grown Abacela wine. With a delicious platform like this, won’t you join us locavores for a chance to break bread while taking action to promote greener communities?

Seminar: Cheeses of the World

Come experience one of the greatest pairings of all time, cheese and wine. This seminar will walk you through what to look for in each when pairing, all while enjoying six specialty cheeses paired to perfection with Abacela’s wine. You will leave confident in throwing your own wine and cheese party for your friends this summer. This seminar also includes a take-home sampling of some of the cheeses in the seminar, and the rare opportunity to buy these specialty cheeses with us at our distributor’s price!

TAPAS Grand Tasting

Join us April 27, 2014 for the seventh annual Grand Tasting of the Tempranillo Advocates, Producers and Amigos Society - the most extensive tasting of American-grown Tempranillos, Albariños, and much, much more. Cutting-edge wineries will descend upon San Francisco to share their passion and delicious wines. The event features many limited-production, family-owned wineries pouring small-lot wines that are not widely distributed. The casual setting allows guests to chat with the winemakers and growers, and the wines will be available for purchase.

This year's event takes place from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, 2014 in the beautiful Golden Gate Club at the Presidio.

Umpqua Valley Barrel Tour

Enjoy a full day of wine tasting, beautiful scenery and VIP tours during the annual Umpqua Valley Barrel Tour. You will explore scenic back roads of the Umpqua Valley on a guided bus tour of six Umpqua Valley wineries, where you will schmooze with winemakers and taste featured wines and appetizer pairings. Tickets are $50 per person.
